Causes, Cares, and Charities: Writing and Reading Organizations

As a professional writer, I wholeheartedly support charities and organizations that promote reading and writing. I wanted to compile a list of great organizations to show that I care about the people working there as well as their missions. Please check out the websites, raise awareness, and — if you feel compelled — please donate to their causes. I cannot possibly list all of the worthy organizations out there, so please feel free to add your own contributions in the comments and do your own research.

To celebrate the National Day on Writing, please watch my video, where I read my flash fiction story “Cincinnati Men.” The theme is to write about our communities and — as a native of Ohio — I found this piece to be appropriate. #WriteMyCommunity
