On the Brink

I love the cliche about writers typing on typewriters. In all honesty, I really do wish I had one.

Aren’t cliches wonderfully annoying? I use them so much in daily conversation I have to actively remove them from my manuscripts.

What are your favorite cliches? Here are some of mine:

“Whatever floats your boat.”

“Ace in the hole”

“Actions speak louder than words.”

“Get a life.”

“Get a room.”

“Rough around the edges”

“All that jazz”
